Notable Projects & Professional Accomplishments:
End-to-End Client Relationship Management: From Onboarding to Ongoing Custody for Capital Market Institutions
In client service, I manage the full client lifecycle, beginning with the initial business relationship where I negotiate service fees and secure new clients, followed by overseeing a seamless onboarding process once terms are accepted. I am responsible for maintaining ongoing, high-quality custody services and fostering strong relationships with over 30 capital market institutions. Additionally, I manage the custody of more than 150 funds, ensuring responsive service, client satisfaction, and sustained partnerships through proactive support and relationship management.
Optimizing Client Service: Launching an Automated Custody System to Drive Growth and Efficiency at Alinma Investment
At Alinma Investment, I served as the business lead in the development and rollout of a new custody system aimed at elevating our client service capabilities. I carefully defined the business requirements and worked closely with multiple departments to ensure the system fully supported all aspects of custody services, from asset safekeeping to transaction management. By automating several manual tasks, the system improved service accuracy and allowed us to accommodate a larger client base with greater efficiency. This successful launch streamlined operations, attracted new clients, and contributed to a meaningful increase in revenue, reinforcing our position in the market.
Preparing for Global Integration: Enhancing Depositary and Settlement Systems for Emerging Market Inclusion
To prepare for the Saudi market’s 2018 inclusion in emerging market indices and the anticipated surge in trading volume, I worked closely with the business team to ensure that the depositary and settlement systems could handle this significant growth. I conducted comprehensive testing of system updates, proactively identifying and escalating issues and bugs to relevant departments for timely resolution. By meticulously verifying the functionality and stability of all processes, we ensured that the system was fully optimized and ready for launch. As a result, the inclusion proceeded smoothly, with the infrastructure successfully managing a twofold increase in trading activity without any disruptions.
Supporting Saudi Market Milestones: System Readiness and Client Management for the Aramco IPO
During the landmark Aramco IPO, I was involved in preparing the depository system to handle the substantial influx of new investors and heightened market activity. My responsibilities included extensive system testing to ensure infrastructure stability and scalability, addressing a wide range of inquiries and technical issues from clients and market participants, and facilitating the onboarding of new institutional investors into our system. By coordinating closely with various departments, I ensured a smooth user experience and efficient issue resolution throughout this high-profile event. The successful IPO marked a significant achievement for the Saudi market, and I was honored with a departmental award in recognition of my contributions to its seamless execution.
Enhancing Trade Efficiency: Partial Settlement Implementation in the Saudi Stock Exchange
Following the introduction of the T+2 settlement cycle in the Saudi market in 2017 and a subsequent rise in foreign investments, the Saudi stock exchange faced an increasing rate of trade settlement failures due to insufficient securities or cash availability on settlement day. Previously, trades would fail completely, even if partial shares or funds were available. To address this, a partial settlement project was initiated, enabling trades to settle proportionally based on available assets. I collaborated closely with the business team to define precise requirements and conducted rigorous testing on the depository and settlement systems to ensure seamless compatibility before the project’s launch. The successful implementation of partial settlement significantly enhanced the likelihood of trade completion, reducing failed trades and improving overall settlement efficiency.
